donating to families torn apart by ice
In July 2025, Dr. Max’s launched an urgent fundraiser to support immigrant families affected by ICE raids in Ventura County. Within 48 hours, over $15,000 was raised, eventually totaling $100,000 in funds and donated goods—including 1,200 cartons of formula from Bobbie, along with diapers, clothing, fresh food, and more.
Over 330 donors contributed, enabling support for housing, legal fees, and emergency care for children separated from their parents.
Donations were delivered to LUCHA/Poder Popular, a nonprofit food pantry serving immigrant farmworker families.
The effort culminated in the creation of a community pantry and supply warehouse, and was further bolstered by a successful food and clothing drive co-hosted with ELYSIAN Theater in early August.
fire aid, FREE CLINIC
After the devastating LA wildfires, Dr. Max organized a free pop up clinic for first responders and fire victims who had lost access to prescriptions and essential care. Fire Aid brought in a documentary team to capture the clinic in action, showing Dr. Max treating patients and providing critical medical support in the aftermath of the disaster. The segment aired during the Fire Aid broadcast right before Billie Eilish's performance and spotlighted the importance of community led healthcare and helping fellow Angelenos in times of crisis.
