Clinical uses

Oats are rich in avenanthramides, which provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits to soften and smooth skin by creating a protective layer that locks in moisture. Beta-glucans support ceramide synthesis, which strengthens the skin's barrier and prevents water loss. Oats also reduce itching and irritation, which is especially beneficial for eczema and dermatitis.. Oats are ideal for babies, those with sensitive skin, and those with conditions like eczema or psoriasis.
